Using our vast intellect and deep hockey knowledge, we pick three of the best games you should watch.

3/30/08 - 4/6/08

JASON

  • Sun Mar 30: Bruins at Sabres. Can my B's cancel any Buffalo playoff plans and go from 8th to 5th?
  • Tue Apr 3: Sabres at Canadiens. I'll be in Montreal for this one....
  • Sat Apr 5: Leafs at Canadiens. ...and this one. With the Leafs done, Habs fans will be having some fun.

3/23/08 - 3/29/08

JASON

  • Sorry but my hockey viewing is all about the Bruins as they are fighting for their playoff lives.

MIKE

  • TUE Mar 25th: Philadelphia at NY Rangers. The Flyers are two points behind the Rangers though the Rangers have a game in hand.
  • WED Mar 26th: Vancouver at Colorado. Teams 7 and 8 in the West, each with 86 points. And don't forget Edmonton in the rear view mirror.
  • FRI March 28: Edmonton at Colorado. Could this be game be for the 8th spot in the West?

3/16/08 - 3/22/08

JASON

  • Thur Mar 20th: Habs at Bruins. Can the B's catch the Habs with four points in the home-and-home?
  • Sat Mar 22nd: B's at Canadiens. Can the Habs be eight more points ahead of the B's in the home-and-home?
  • Sat Mar 22nd: Wild at Flames. Northeast leader?

MIKE

  • THU March 20: Vancouver at Edmonton. The Oilers continue to work towards a playoff berth. Should they make it, Coach of the Year honors should go to Craig MacTavish.
  • FRI March 21: NY Rangers at Philadelphia. The Rangers need to continue their winning ways in order to solidify a spot in the top 8.
  • SAT March 22: Toronto at Ottawa. Toronto's playoff hopes are dim but they are 6-3-1 in their last ten and playing an Ottawa team that has been awful since January.

3/9/08 - 3/15/08

JASON

  • Fri Mar 14: Sun Mar 16 Hockey East Quarterfinals.
  • Sat Mar 15: Flyers vs Bruins, battle for the 8th seed.
  • Sat Mar 15: Devils vs Avs, Devils gunning for the #1 seed.

3/2/08 - 3/8/08

JASON

  • MON MAR 3: Bruins at Capitals. The red-hot B's try and get move up the standings and dash the hopes of Ovi and Co.'s playoff aspirations.
  • THUR MAR 6: Rangers at Islanders. Battle of NY continues.
  • SAT MAR 8: Stars at Avs. The Stars try and catch the Red Wings for #1.

2/24/08 - 3/1/08

JASON

  • MON FEB 25: Flyers at Sabres. The final playoff spot drive continues.
  • THUR FEB 28: Rangers at Hurrincanes. Carolina looking to solidify division title.
  • SAT MAR 1: Devils at Canadiens. Top seed in the East?

MIKE

  • TUE FEB 26: Detroit at Edmonton. The Wings have been struggling recently and Lidstrom's absence from the lineup isn't helping. Edmonton worked hard for a key win against Colorado on Sunday, though they lost their captain, Ethan Moreau, for the remainder of the season.
  • THU FEB 28: Rangers at Carolina. Can the Blueshirts keep their winning ways alive? Does Cam Ward play like the Stanley Cup winning goaltender of 2006? When will I stop asking stupid questions?
  • SAT MAR 1: Manchester at Hartford. Saturday night is family night at the XL Center. Bring the kids and have fun watching future NY Rangers grace the ice in New England's Rising Star.

2/17/08 - 2/23/08

JASON

  • MON FEB 18: Red Wings at Avs. Wings have been struggling and these two team historically hate each other.
  • THUR FEB 21: Penguins at Canadiens. Two teams definitely going to the playoffs with loads of offensive skill.
  • SAT FEB 23: Rangers at Sabres. Both battling for playoff spots (with my B's).

2/10/08 - 2/16/08

JASON

  • Mon Feb 11: Beanpot Final Boston College vs Harvard. As a BC fan, nice to see BU beaten in the semi's.
  • Wed Feb 13: Capitals at Thrashers. The Southeast title is a log jam right now. Plus, Ovi and Kovalchuk on the same ice is always a thrill.
  • Sat Feb 16: Flyers at Canadiens. It'll be nice to see Briere get booed as he snubbed the Habs to go to Philly.

MIKE

  • Tue Feb 12: Minnesota at Edmonton. Not one I would normally pick but Edmonton is hurting and a sniper like Gaborik could have a field day.
  • Fri Feb 15: Calgary at Los Angeles. This is gonna be interesting. LA's young forwards versus Dion Phanuef and Robyn Regehr. And don't forget the Flames have former Islanders goon Eric Godard.
  • Sat Feb 16: Philadelphia at Montreal. I can't wait to watch the league's two best power plays go head-to-head.

2/3/08 - 2/9/08

JASON

  • Mon Feb 3rd: Beanpot Tournament Semi-finals; Northeastern vs Harvard and BC vs BU.
  • Tue Feb 5: Ottawa visits Montreal with a 3-point lead in the Northeast Division.
  • Sat Feb 9: Battle of Alberta, Hockey Night in Canada, Oilers at Flames.

MIKE

  • Tue Feb 5: Anaheim Ducks at NY Islanders. Is this the night that the Finnish Flash returns to the NHL and helps his team end a nasty losing streak?
  • Wed Feb 6: Manchester Monarchs at Hartford Wolf Pack. Hartford looks to return to its winning ways at home against a Monarch team looking to move a step closer to the Pack in the Atlantic Division.
  • Fri Feb 8: Carolina Hurricanes at Washington Capitals. I'll set the over/under on Ovechkin's goals at 3. Any takers?

1/27/08 - 2/2/08

JASON

  • Tue Jan 29 Stars at Canucks: points at a premium in the West.
  • Fri Feb 1 Avalanche at Red Wings: one of the best rivalries of the last ten years.
  • Sat Feb 2 Red Wings at Bruins: for the simple reason that I'll be there.

MIKE

  • Tue Jan 29, Phoenix at Columbus: Columbus has never made the playoffs and Phoenix hasn't made it since little Danny Briere danced in the desert. Columbus has the eighth spot and the 'Yotes are right behind them.
  • Wed Jan 30, San Jose at Calgary: San Jose is the best team in the NHL on the road but just average at home. Marleau and Cheechoo have combined for 17 goals thus far. Calgary has the hands-on favorite for MVP in Jarome Iginla. And I can't believe Iron Mike has this team playing this well.
  • Thu Jan 31, Rangers at Philadelphia: This one could be a bit ugly. Philly is 8-1-1 in its last ten and the Rangers need some wins desperately. Look for Hollweg and Orr to set the tone early. The Rangers have to take care of things in their end and Lundqvist has to be at his best.
